This month we focus on campaigns looking to enrich Australia’s classical music landscape. Whether through one-off projects or 2022 Seasons, these artists are providing audiences the opportunity to reconnect with live music in the post-pandemic environment.
Award-winning ensemble Penny Quartet are raising funds to allow them to rebuild, rehearse and perform in a post-pandemic landscape. Their 2022 Season will include string quartets, core repertoire, newer works, commissions and a diverse variety of collaboration.
Funding will go towards travel, wages and administration costs.
The TSO Chorus is travelling to Perth to perform Benjamin Britten’s War Requiem, an iconic anti-war anthem which remains as relevant today as when it was first composed 60 years ago – a heartfelt plea for calm and peaceful resolution.
They are raising funds to subsidise travel and accommodation costs.
Chamber musicians Selby & Friends return to concert stages for their 16th year. With six subscription seasons around Australia, they will be presenting some of the finest concerts in the country performed by artists who count amongst the best in the world.
Funds raised will go towards presenting the concerts, supporting artists and connecting audiences.
