Tim Fairfax Family Foundation Announces 9-Year Funding Agreements through Amplify

The Tim Fairfax Family Foundation has recently announced that three separate, 9-year, general operating support grants have been awarded to three of Queensland’s most important cultural organisations: Dancenorth, Camerata, and Crossroad Arts.

This new strategic partnership program – the terms of which may constitute a first for Australia’s arts sector – builds on the Foundation’s existing grantmaking programs to further support these organisations to undertake genuine, meaningful, long-term planning for themselves and the communities they serve. The Australian Cultural Fund (ACF) is pleased to facilitate these grants the ACF’s capacity building service for Australia’s Private Ancillary Funds (PAFs), Amplify.

Amplify celebrates the ACF as a vehicle through which PAFs can provide flexible, multi-year funding to recipient organisations. By using Amplify, PAFs can fulfil their annual distribution requirements in one donation to the ACF, which can then be distributed to recipient organisations over several years. This removes the need for PAFs to pre-commit funds from future years to provide multi-year funding to recipients, reducing administrative burden and providing opportunities for long-term sustainable funding relationships with their grantees.

The ACF Team is excited to be a part of this sector first and look forward to continue working with  the Tim Fairfax Family Foundation to build a more connected, resilient and futureproof creative sector.
