This month we focus on documentary campaigns that are capturing Australian stories. These projects are bringing vibrant people and iconic places to the forefront of our screens.
FRANKLIN is an immersive rafting adventure which recounts the epic seven-year campaign to save Tasmania’s World Heritage-listed Franklin River from the construction of a hydroelectric project in the early 1980s.
Funding will go towards post production costs including screening venues, marketing and travel.
The MISS INK documentary series follows women from every corner of the country as they compete for the coveted Miss Ink Australia crown – the only beauty pageant in the world where size, shape, sexuality, age, scars and cellulite don’t matter.
They are raising funds to support general productions costs and travel costs for the participants.
WARRIOR follows the story of a Sydney man who uses medieval role play to deal with the trauma of his past and now must face another battle as he fights to keep his community alive. It’s a story of trauma, overcoming, acceptance, determination and community.
Funds raised will go towards post production costs to help finish and distribute the film.
