Applying to trusts and foundations

Did you know that you can approach trusts or foundations to support your project through the ACF, just like any other donor? Not sure where to start, or if you’re even eligible? Read on.

There are more than 5,000 trusts and foundations in Australia, so they’re worth considering as a potential source of revenue.  To make it easier to navigate this area we’ve compiled a list of resources.

Firstly, it’s important to note that most foundations can give only to organisations with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) and Tax Concession Charity (TCC) status.

If you’re an individual, group or an organisation without DGR and TCC, this is where the Australian Cultural Fund can come in handy! The organisation that administers the ACF – Creative Partnerships Australia – has DGR and TCC status, so you can ‘use’ their status to offer tax deductibility to your donors.
