Watch the Sunset is Australia’s first one shot feature film. A drama crime-thriller wherein a single take a man is on the run from his bikie gang life and a past he can’t escape. Think Animal Kingdom meets Elephant.
The filming was completed in July 2015. Our team utilised the entire town of Kerang (VIC) as the set for the film, the action following through 8 different locations, integrating actors amongst 85 real members of the community to bring true sincerity, honesty and immersion into an identifiable Australian backdrop. Without a single cut, the action unfolds over 82 minutes. Rehearsing for 5 weeks, merging film and theatre, the team of young creatives donated their time and resources to create a story that identifies with our regional Ice (Meth) problem.
Currently in post-production, the colour grade, music composition, sound mixing, and marketing costs are stalling the film from being completed. With your generous support we will be able to finalise our visions in these areas. This project has also received successful MATCH funding which means your donation will be matched, thanks to Creative Partnerships Australia!
Having gained the attention of International sales, distribution avenues, and festival curators at the American Film Market we are confident this film will gain the attention it deserves furthering the careers and profiles of all involved.
Thank you all in advance for your generous support!
