From the European salon culture to musical subterfuge, the Twilight Musical Dialogues series takes music lovers on a philosophical journey with some of the greatest minds in music. Each concert features a Young Artist and each year we perform in a Regional Centre.
Our 2017 “Five Continents” series traversed the musical globe and featured pianists: Tamara Anna Cislowska, Gabriella Pusner, Sally Whitwell, Daniel Rojas-Gonzales and Christopher Allan as well as baritone David Greco and composer Elena Kats-Chernin.
Our 2018 “Musical Luminati” series embraced passionate musicians who are also great thinkers: Flautist/Neurologist Eckart Altenmüller, Cellist/Educator Rachel Scott, Pianist Simon Tedeschi, ACO Violinist/Educator Aiko Goto and the Musical Creators of the Omega Ensemble together with Artistic Director, Flautist Sally Walker.
Equally fine artists are lined up for a potential 2019 series but can only be revealed should funding be secured.
The cost of tickets has been kept deliberately low ($45/$25)
“Sally Walker’s Twilight Musical Dialogues series deserves support because it is unique in its format and offers the opportunity to enjoy intimate chamber music at an affordable price, which makes such quality music available to a broader range of audience.” (Concert goer David Ayling).
Extra funding is needed as sell-out concerts do not cover the costs.
We create a sense of community by supporting others. Each concert program features another Arts organisation with a one page interview in the program. We support local industry in our arrival tastings by premium local producers– such as vintage wines, artisan cheeses and other culinary delights.
“Performances like the one that the Twilight Musical Dialogues are usually something only seen in the cities, it was wonderful to have such talent in our little country town. I loved how Sally involved the whole audience, talking us through the music and each individual song’s story.” (Quirindi Local)
