Our project is about Franklin Collier, a 20 year old outspoken young man who has always found comfort with animals, who decides to secretly break family tradition to follow his dreams of applying to uni and becoming a vet nurse. He must now find the courage and to stand up to his drunk father at the risk of getting kicked out and disowned.
Although this film is targeted towards 20-30 year old males, the film is well and truly for anyone and everyone as the film talks about mental health, a very important issue that needs to be talked about to help those that are struggling.
Our project is important for a plethora of reasons, one of which is that journey that the Franklin goes through is one that a lot of artists can relate to as we have all at point or another been forced to do jobs that we hate and that are far from our real passion. This film is also important as it mentions mental health, and how a dysfunctional family and terrible home life can affect one mentally. Mental health is a very big issue in today’s society, that needs to be talked about to help those that are suffering.
The donations from this campaign will be used to make this the best film possible, by using the money towards hiring out locations to make the film as authentic and real as possible, and to also enter the film into festivals for everyone to see.
