The Joshua Violin Project

My name is Josh and I am 15 years old. I have been learning and playing the violin since I was in Grade 3 and joined the school strings program. Ever since I picked up this instrument I have loved it.

This year I am studying year 10 at school and also learning pieces for my Grade 8 violin exam. the pieces are challenging but very rewarding. After many years with my wonderful teacher, Mrs Alison Dunn, I have started lessons with Philip Carrington in Melbourne.
I have recently been chosen to be part of Orchestra Victoria’s string quartet program, which is being set up soon.
Music is very rewarding and enjoyable, I have met many talented and interesting people. Music is also very expensive. The lessons, instrument and everything else involved with learning an instrument can be costly. Any assistance that can be given would be very much appreciated.

Why should you help me? Because I feel passionate about what I am doing, music is so important to all of us. I hope to study music in the future and need help with my lessons and with the equipment required.

I can promise you that all funds will go to my music lessons, camps, updating my instrument and allowing me to further develop my passion.
