SMILE explores the nature of portraiture, individuality, cultural diversity and showcases a rarely seen body of photographic work by Tawfik Elgazzar. Underpinning this is a reflection on the importance of giving to others, community and the emotional impact on the artist of seeing his subjects smile.
Funds raised will go towards completing the project including final editing, colour grade, sound design and a distribution platform.
The film will be completed November 2018.
