Sirens and sounds are codes that trigger human movement – a universal, unspoken, sonic form of communication and direction into action. Alarms can also signal stillness; simultaneously meaning different things to different people. Time coding live instruments, electronic tracks and lighting design, RADAR will merge dancers, light and sound to create a unified body of work, with a small ensemble of musicians behind a large ensemble of dancers.
Set within Fremantle’s iconic building, B Shed, the large roller doors wide open, the backdrop being the live port and harbour, each night will be different; for what may pass by during the performance.
RADAR is an exciting project, merging space, dance and sound, expect some high intensity contemporary dance by some incredible young and established artists.

Brooke Leeder & Dancers are a young group of creatives, with a mission to present exciting and dynamic contemporary dance in unconventional spaces. We are small group, consisting of dancers, composers and lighting designers, having worked together for the first time last year, and were nominated for multiple WA Performing Arts awards, including Best New Work and Best Production.
This work also provides the opportunity to work with a youth ensemble, from John Curtin College of the Arts, my old high school, which shaped my career in contemporary dance. This project provides the opportunity for the dancers of the future to perform along side my team of professional dancers and collaborators.
We need your help to present this new work in B Shed, to reignite the space and bring contemporary dance to a wider community.

Your support and donations will go directly to the artists; the dancers, musicians and lighting designer, for rehearsals leading up to the performance week. These artists and performers are collaborators on the project, each having their unique voices present.
They are mentors and leaders to the young ensemble of youth dancers, an unforgettable experience for all involved.
We need your support to fund this project, to create a new dance work that is a unique, high intensity contemporary dance work that brings intergenerational dancers together. You would be directly supporting all artists on this exciting new project.
