Days Left

12 year old Arlian, PLASTIC FREE BOY’s film PLASTIC ALARM empowers and unites kids around the world to protect the environment and their future from the consequences of plastic pollution in the ocean. The film has reached so far 1000’s of kids globally, creating social and environmental change in schools and communities.

As featured on Channel 10 The Project.

Testimonial from a school Principal: “Kids need hear it from someone who is their own age, someone they can believe in …”

“As a community we will be following up with a school based initiative that reflects working towards a plastic free environment.” Carwardine, Principal of St.Peter Chanel Primary School

“You have really inspired all of us to try and reduce the amount of plastic we use and also to convince our families and members of our community to do the same.” St. Oliver Plunketts School

“This is the start of a new generation. We would like to join you on your quest to save the world and we hope.”  Seth and Troy

KID’S FUTURE DEPENDS ON THE OCEAN. Every 2nd breath we take comes from the ocean. 8 million tons of plastic, flowing from our homes into waterways to the ocean every year. 91% of all plastic we consume does not get recycled. 50% of that is single use plastic we only use for one minute. Predicted: By 2050 more plastic in the ocean than fish. PLASTIC poisons our bodies from the water we drink and the food we eat, interfering with our endocrine system. Future generations will have irreversible consequences to deal with.

PLASTIC FREE BOY’s call to action in his film: https://uplift.tv/2018/plastic-free-boy/

This global movement in schools and communities has began. Kids talk at home about PLASTIC FREE BOY making a difference by refusing single use plastic straws, bottles and bags. We hear the feedback from many parents and teachers via email and social media.

“Wow you have truly inspired us Arlian. We have launched into a 3week project at our school. We have also been educating our parents at home.” Year 2,3H Lake Cathie Public School and Mrs Keir

Money raised will be used to donate the film screening of PLASTIC ALARM to schools including teaching material and the opportunity to share their school project with the world.

$100 will provide a free screening to a school.

Testimonial from a principal: “I want Arlian to bring this important message to every school…” Tim Bleakley, St.Finbarr’s Catholic School

I am an international film maker. My passion is to focus on social and environmental issues from a cultural perspective.

In 2004, I began working on this vision to connect kids globally together through films for schools on the topic of our environment.

Besides making films about kids and nature, I also have been a birth activist, presenting my films in hospitals, universities and consumer groups, changing the culture of how we see birth. The YouTube Trailer for my film “A Breech in the System” has reached 48 Million Hits. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vRjSmR9QmYg&t=14s
