Peninsula Chamber Musicians (PCM) has a strong representation of music teachers from Mornington Peninsula schools and seeks to foster greater networking and collaboration between music educators, community groups and students.
PCM was founded in 2013 to create performance opportunities for classically trained musicians on the Mornington Peninsula.
It has a strong representation of music teachers from Mornington Peninsula schools, and seeks to also foster greater networking and collaboration between music educators, retired professional musicians, community groups and students.
The flexible ensemble holds 5-8 public performances annually and has developed strong working relationships with other community music groups, schools and professional ensembles.
The group seeks to have a positive and creative impact on the Mornington Peninsula. Creating a sense of place for likeminded musicians, as well as being an inspiration for music students.
PCM performances are all family friendly. Children attend at no cost, encouraging the enrichment of a musical world for children and adults alike.
Whether it be chamber orchestra, wind quintet or string quartet, these musicians have one aim – to share their passion of music with their local community.
