Melbourne Digital Concert Hall (MDCH): a digital concert hall run by musicians, for musicians.
MDCH is designed to support musicians and the Melbourne arts industry during these challenging times. Concerts will be performed once, at set times, as per traditional recitals, and will be professionally streamed. Tickets are sold online for the performance and all ticket money goes directly to the artists.
MDCH will be built on the strong reputation of a vibrant music scene, performers and supporters. The programming will showcase the full spectrum of Melbourne artists who have lost work due to COVID–19.
The Digital Concert Hall will launch with an online music festival from March 27–29 featuring some of Melbourne’s leading musicians, with a plan to hold multiple concerts each weekend throughout the coming months.
Chris Howlett and Adele Schonhardt will lead this social enterprise, combining their artistic and arts management skills.
The Melbourne Digital Concert Hall needs your support so that we can launch and continue to support the Melbourne artists.
MDCH donors enable Chris and Adele to deliver the mission These donations:
- Support the piano tuners, technicians etc., within our industry
- Cover overheads to enable MDCH pass on 100% of the tickets to the artists
- Help spread the word of the concert hall and the artists that it is showcasing.
