Who We Are
anon. was co-founded in 2013 by Nicole Tj and Thomas Lo – whose diverse backgrounds as pianist and violinist, strategist and designer have shaped the way we create new, innovative experiences around classical music. We bring together Australian musicians, designers and composers to create meaningful experiences and challenge new perspectives. In 2016, we were invited to speak and perform at TEDxFoggyBottom in Washington DC as the very first international guests, presenting our unique perspective of classical music and collaboration to an audience of 1500.

MAZE – The Collaboration
MAZE is a performance installation bringing together live piano trio, sound, lighting and architectural design. Driven by classical music, MAZE explores the artistic potential of classical music to move, engage and communicate. In a 50-minute live experience – audiences are immersed within a fragmented audio/visual world, and guided to move within a fabric, maze-like installation, to eventually find a live classical music performance.

MAZE – The Artistic Concept
Sight and sound dictates how we see the world around us, they are intricately connected and naturally understood by us. If we start to manipulate this relationship, this would dramatically affect what we do, think, and act in the result of understanding our surroundings differently. MAZE explores the important relationship of fragmentation and unity between visual emptiness and sound music.

Our Unique Audience
80% of our audiences are aged between 20-45, from diverse professional and creative backgrounds, largely new to classical music, and love new experiences. We think this is reflective of growing interest in innovative experiences and presents a hidden opportunity share our love for classical music and creative thinking with new audiences.
