The creation 9 new songs & a guided meditation with the theme “Love like water” running across the album. The songs are a collaborative body of work across borders with other indigenous artists from Australia & Barbados. This album is an opportunity to share our stories around water and its being crucial to sustaining life, including our own existence.
I am raising funds to pay artists and team involved in making this LP come to life. The music and its message is for everyone that wants to be inspired, uplifted and hear songs from first nation artists.

The foundation of the LP has begun, song writing & demo tracks made. Now it’s time to bite off the next phase – record, mix & release – as well as the creation of 2 music videos to go with the album. Due to Covid we are having to find new ways to make technology work for us artists. The recording will take place at SAE Byron Bay where possible, & in home studios for artists afar. The plan is to have the album & music videos ready for release just before Christmas this year.

My artist name is TAMWAH, I am a Indigenous song-woman based in Byron Bay. I’m here to fund raise for the creation of my Album “Love like Water”. A collaborative work across borders with other indigenous artists from Australia & Barbados. This album is an opportunity to share our stories around water and its being crucial to sustaining life, including our own existence.

The Covid pandemic has killed the music industry this year. It’s crucial we artists create opportunities, look out for one another & discover new ways to thrive in this time. My intention with my LP is to create awareness, healing & kinship for indigenous & non-indigenous peoples. I intend for this LP to unite all artists involved, to share skills, create jobs ,connections & keep food on the table. With a solid PR plan to launch the LP & live concerts on social media, I expect involved artists will benefit from expanding their audience nationally & internationally. Creating more work opportunities for us all to thrive as artists. We artists are an important voice to move culture forward in this time of uncertainty.

Driving question for album creation: “How can WE indigenous artists from different groups and spaces, create music & art together. Thriving as caregivers for mother earth whilst conveying the theme “Love like water” to our existing fans & new audiences through the digital realm? “

I am raising funds to pay artists involved; musicians, the sound engineer & videographer. As well as raising funds for PR through Gyro-stream, an Australian distribution & PR company. Through the creation of my album I plan to have a body of work that connects the listener with mama nature & love through the eyes of indigenous artists. The last track on the LP is a guided mediation, bringing the listener into deeper relation with the water in their bodies. My intention is to raise consciousness & joy through music.
