Our work to activate the Jull Street Mall into a place of creativity, community harmony and vibrancy has made enormous strides through 2019.
Now, we need to purchase the PA system, the lighting equipment, the projector, the display and exhibition cabinets that will let us fully develop our performance nights and visual arts capacity so that we can become more self-sufficient and self-sustaining.
We already have a grant from the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science as part of this project for capital items to get the ARC to self-sufficiency status. As a volunteer not-for-profit organisation, we are completely dependent on the grants we receive and goodwill from the community to develop and grow.
It’s been a long, hard road to get to this point…two years of developing the Artist Retail Collective’s creative identity, showcasing the formidable artistic talent in our own backyard and giving a voice to Aboriginal visual artists (such as Sydney Phillips – photographed here, giving an Artist Talk at ARC HQ in the Jull Street Mall).
Help us continue to grow visibility for our local artistic talent: our Aboriginal and multi-cultural artists, our disability craftspeople as well as our young, emerging and seasoned performers.
Your donations will help us get there…
