Ensemble MUSE is an all-female group dedicated to empowering female
performers, as well as bringing special attention to women and minority
composers. This concert opens our 2018 season with full force.

Our program includes repertoire by both established and lesser-known female composers. This particular project aims to raise funds to commission a work by Josephine Macken; ‘Catch’.

Additionally, we would like to raise funds for future commissions by both female and minority composers. These funds will also be used to purchase existing works, to support these marginalised artists.

Through time, music history has been paved by the White, European composer. Whilst the classical music canon lacks diversity, Ensemble MUSE strives to change this paradigm. We are dedicated to both the acts of commissioning and performing new works by minority composers. Through our actions, we hope to effect the status-quo of modern music.

All donations will go towards financing our 2018 program, which centres around empowering female and minority composers. We appreciate all your help to sustain an exciting Australian music scene!
