Dots+Loops is Australia’s post-genre music and arts series, inclusively exploring the spaces in between a traditional classical concert, an underground club gig, and an experimental art show. Combined with a passion for community and artistic equity, our unique concert experiences have been consistently applauded by critics, audiences and performers alike since 2014.
This December 7, we’re celebrating our fifth birthday with our biggest party yet, Dots+Loops Nonstop. A 6-hour celebration of Brisbane and Australia’s most adventurous musicians and artists, the festival sees us working with and for our community to champion young talent, highlight established local legends, and collaborate with acclaimed international guests. From cello-led folktronica, to transcendentally beautiful prepared piano and treated film, to a virtuosic minimalist dance-party, there’s something for all adventurous ears and eyes at Nonstop.
We’re also hosting a unique performance fellowship program for Australia’s next generation of adventurous musicians, who will be working side-by-side with leading post-genre musicians towards a headline performance of Max Richter’s Vivaldi Recomposed at the festival.
The acts are all confirmed, we’ve partnered with Newstead Brewing Co. Milton for a fantastic festival venue, and we have already received over 80% of funding required, including significant support from the Australia Council for the Arts.
However, as you can imagine, this is a huge undertaking, and for us to fully realise the Festival we still need to raise $7,500.
Please, join with us to raise the remaining amount we need to produce the festival. You’ll be directly investing in making exciting and adventurous new music and art accessible for everyone, and supporting local and diverse artists. Any donation over $2 is tax deductible, and any contribution big or small helps us to achieve our goal!
None of us would be where we are today if it wasn’t for the help of our peers and the support of our community. Join with us in building this community, and help confirm Brisbane as an international centre for exciting and inclusive music and art.
Any donor contributing over $500 can choose to directly sponsor one of our headline sets, and be listed as that set’s principal supporter!
Thank you so much for joining with us, and enabling to share this amazing festival with you, and our amazing communities in Brisbane! And once you’ve donated, head over to the festival website to read about the festival in full!
