I am a young, Australian lyric soprano of Greek-Cypriot heritage who relocated to Europe in 2014 to pursue an operatic career abroad. I hold a BMus (Performance: Classical Voice) and a DipLang (Adv. Italian) from The University of Melbourne (2012) and a Master of Interpreting and Translation Studies from Monash University (2014) with fluency in 5 languages.

In mid-2017, I completed my studies (Diplôme Supérieur d’Art Lyrique) at École Normale de Musique “Alfred Cortot” Paris (ENMP) on full-scholarship and, after recommendation and a subsequent audition, commenced private coaching at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich. I have since been offered the opportunity to coach intensively, from April 2018 with Bavarian State Opera professionals and, particularly, with the Deputy Chorusmaster, recitalist and private coach to Jonas Kaufmann, Mr. Fagone. We will prepare a series of roles (Lucia, Pamina, Violetta, Susanna etc), hone my skills for potential entrance into the opera studio and prepare for agent auditions and international competitions.

Working with professionals at The Bavarian State Opera, one of the top 6 opera houses in the world, is a fantastic opportunity for me as a young singer to learn the ropes of the profession and to bridge the somewhat awkward transition between apprentice singer and professional artist. Since 2014, through the support of scholarships and my own intiative of employment seeking in Europe, I managed to live, work and study in Italy (Milan), Germany (Saarbrücken and Mannheim) and France (Paris) for more than four years, demonstrating resilience, against all odds, and a true desire to succeed abroad in this ultra-competitive yet beautiful artform. Munich, however, has always been the dream and I feel very fortunate to be at the beginning of this highly-important next step in my young career.

Your generous donations will be used to support this intensive training period which will include lessons, coachings and role study with the aforementioned professionals. Being young enough for entrance into the opera studio is very positive and will be the potential next step, however, just as likely, is going directly into professional work.

I invite you to come and listen to me live on 3 separate occasions in Melbourne:
