E13 is a creative arts producer, with experience in events, audience engagement, artist development, and social change-making. We have worked with artists in a variety of arts disciplines. Operating from regional and remote spaces has seen a refreshing discovery – rich, untapped potential in people who themselves don’t actively identify their skill. Encouraging and fostering the growth and development of these individuals is key to what we do.
Our Arts Impact Projects seek to build capacity in arts discipline at a grassroots level through meaningful developmental opportunities such as mentorship, skills building, and performance offerings. Our portfolio of work is extensive and diverse, including projects from many arts disciplines, backgrounds, cultures, and clients.
Fundamentally, our projects aim to influence the culture and state of the City by eliciting attitudes conducive to positive behaviour and liveability. We wish to engage with any individual with the desire and passion to create a better place to live.
We create works that align with our passion to meaningfully connect people with each other, and to ourselves. Collaborating and forming relationships with people and place allows us to identify and develop narratives that are important to the cultural fabric, contributing to liveability through the arts.
By donating to our Arts Impact Projects, you’re helping to foster, develop, and grow a more healthy, vibrant Kalgoorlie-Boulder community. Our projects are proven in their ability to creatively innovate, and your support will mean continued development of these kinds of initiatives.
Arts Impact Projects on our roadmap include youth peer-peer development workshops, live original music events.
Experiences allow us to share stories, retell history, weave tapestries, and define ourselves as artists and people; they create our culture. Humans thrive on these kinds of environments; in fact, we need to belong in order to survive.
Our aim, to connect people with experiences, depends on these facts of human psychology. We believe that creativity is not simply adjunct to life, but rather, is integral to happiness in creating a sense of belonging. We operate knowing that research has proven the value of arts in everyday life, and the importance of making communities liveable. It’s a tough ask to make the world a better place, but we feel that our role – fostering these endeavours and conceptualising new ways of integrating creativity into everyday life does just that – one community, one story, one experience at a time.
