The Alion Baltic International Music Festival and Summer Academy is one of the top rapidly developing classical music festivals in Northern Europe, noted for its diverse concert programming and its musical education of young-adult music students.
ABIMF presents a 1 month-long summer season, featuring more than 25 classical music events—including concerts by the Alion Baltic Orchestra, solo and chamber music performances, master classes, and ad hoc career seminars — and draws in capacity audience from around the globe.
Season 2018 will feature over 20 concerts, presented in 3 Estonian cities: Tallinn, Tartu, Pärnu, in Riga (Latvia), and in Helsinki (Finland).
Legendary violinists Ivry Gitlis, Albert Markov and Sergei Stadler are among the many internationally acclaimed violinists of whom Marlane has been selected to play for.
The opportunity to perform in masterclasses and take part in private tuition with musicians of this calibre and of that era (Gitlis is now 96!) is one that I am incredibly honoured and excited to be apart of.
It costs a lot to get to Estonia from Australia…
Programs such as the ABIMF are invaluable to young musicians such as myself, as it opens up new ways of experiencing and living music. It’s a fabulous way to meet like minded musicians from across the globe, make professional connections and gain inspiration from cultures other than one’s own.
So I’ve started this campaign to help get me there! All donations will go towards covering the costs involved in getting to Tallinn and back and covering the remaining amount of the course fee. All Donations over $2 are tax deductible.

I can’t wait to share with you all that I’ve learned and experienced through this program on my return to Melbourne.
Every bit counts and I am so grateful for your generous support!
Lots of love,
