Agency Projects

Agency celebrates and promotes Indigenous art, culture and people on a local, national and international scale by initiating and facilitating ethical and sound investments

Days Left

At the request of Community Leaders, Agency was established in early 2020 as a conduit to increase connectivity between innovative philanthropists who care deeply about Indigenous-led initiatives and Indigenous Communities.

With strong governance and over ten years of on-the-ground experience, knowledge of cultural frameworks and well-established relationships with cultural leaders, Agency is well-placed to bring together Indigenous-led programs and philanthropic supporters, and to advocate and promote the rich practice of Indigenous artists both on a national and international stage.

Our values align with the foundations of Indigenous resilience, strength and a desire to share, and we believe that ultimately our work has the ability to change the general public’s perception, understanding, connection with, appreciation of, and support for Australian Indigenous art and culture around the world. Our point of difference is that we do not only exist to establish meaningful new connections between Indigenous-led initiatives and social and ethical giving, but also to celebrate Indigenous art, culture and people through the facilitation of bespoke learning opportunities, exhibitions, events, publications, residencies and cultural experiences for both Indigenous and non-Indigenous audiences in Australia and abroad.

Despite the unforeseen challenges of launching a new business in 2020, Agency has been successful in securing seed funding from a number of generous philanthropic supporters, in addition to operational funding through the Commonwealth Government’s Indigenous Visual Art Industry Support (IVAIS) program, and forged exciting new partnerships with AGSA to co-produce the 2020 Tarnanthi Art Fair, and Google Creative Lab to facilitate a sector-wide Indigenous consultation around building digital engagement capacity and capabilities for Art Centres.

We now seek ongoing philanthropic support to continue developing new partnerships and generating strong engagement throughout the sector. If you would like to discuss supporting Agency’s mission to celebrate and promote Indigenous art, culture and people on a local, national and international scale, or learn more about supporting a specific project or partnership, please be in touch via email or phone 0487 085 846. By combining private and public investment, we believe that we can build sustainable and measurable benefits for Indigenous people, art and Country.
