Voces Caelestium is a not-for-profit choir and orchestra led by conductor TaeSoo Kim.
Our concerts bring together young, enthusiastic music students and musicians to perform alongside great professionals in the field. We aim for a varied repertoire of orchestral, choral and chamber music. Our concerts end with a major work for choir and orchestra, which have included Mozart’s Requiem, Mendelssohn’s Psalms 42 and 98, and Schubert’s Magnificat, and include premieres of new compositions.
We have featured emerging and established soloists in concertos and vocal soloist roles.
Our concerts are underpinned by our commitment to charity: 100% of the funds raised at our annual concerts are donated to a chosen charity.
Founded in 2012, we have performed five annual concerts from 2014 to 2018. Over that time we have raised over $30,000 for Compassion Australia, Oxfam Australia, International Justice Mission Australia and Doctors Without Borders.
We started out performing in church venues in Sydney City. Our most recent concert in March 2018 sold out the Sydney Conservatorium’s Verbrugghen Hall.
As we donate all our funds, our concerts rely completely on sponsorship. We hope you can help us to continue our mission.
