un Projects is a collective based in Australia that generates independent and critical dialogue around contemporary art, primarily through publishing projects.
With a focus on artists, writers, artist-run initiatives and independent projects, un Projects publishes articles, artists’ work and reviews, in print and online. un Projects also presents exhibitions, talks and other one-off contemporary art-related events.
Our flagship publication is un Magazine, a bi-annual collection of essays, works and experimental writing, documenting Australia’s vibrant independent arts communities and fostering the next generation of arts writers, editors and curators. Our digital publishing arm, un Extended, is a leader in discourse around independent, contemporary art in Australia and overseas.
Founded as a magazine in 2004 by Melbourne artist Lily Hibberd, un Projects was established in 2008 to ensure the ongoing publication of un Magazine and develop further art writing initiatives.
