Stepanka Cervinkova is a Czech-Australian filmmaker currently finishing Master degree (Narrative Directing) at VCA.

In 2018 Stepanka was awarded a scholarship to attend a directorial workshop lead by Cristian Mungiu (winner Palme D’Or, Cannes Film Festival).

Her films screened at International festivals; Berlin Final Girls Film Festival, Melbourne Women in Film Festival, Adelaide Youth Film Festival, Melbourne Music Video Festival, Australian Fashion Film Awards and more. Her work has been featured in Fashion Journal Magazine, Girls Will Be Girls Magazine and Australian Arts Review.

Stepanka worked as a camera operator on Measure for Measure (MIFF 2019, dir. Paul Ireland), No Time for Quiet (MIFF 2019, dir Hylton Shaw & Samantha Dinning). She worked on acclaimed ABC shows The Katering Show, the feature film Pawno, as well as on local and International commercials (Mattel, Qantas, Ozito, MSFW).

In 2016 Stepanka began work for the broadcast department at Arts Centre Melbourne. Her work for ACM includes Australian Music Vault project, Supersense, MSO concerts for Foxtel, SBS and more.

Stepanka is a recipient of George Paton Gallery Residency Art Grant and UMSU Arts Grant. Her work has been exhibited at Acmi Melbourne, Neon
