Music Book Stories Inc. (Music Book) is a not for profit organisation, passionate about books, art and music for young people.

We are an innovative ensemble which combines live music with literature through storytelling, dance, song, rhyme and movement.

Our aim is to inspire children to get excited about books, to enjoy and appreciate art and music while they explore imaginary worlds in a relaxed and fun environment.

We use music from many composers to accompany our picture books, including Ibert, Popper, Bridge, Prokofiev, Part, Shostakovich, Tchaikowsky, Saint Saens and Beethoven.

We are also committed to using music by, and actively seek collaboration from, Australian composers.

For example, we have collaborated with Perth soprano-composer Emma Jayakumar, founder of Lark Chamber Opera, who has composed, arranged and performed with us.

We are planning an exciting collaboration with multi award winning illustrator-composer-musician Matt Ottley for 2017.

Music Book uses professional, highly trained musicians and narrators who have experience working with, and educating, children; and perform regularly in concert.

Music Book have performed in many locations in Perth, including The State Library of WA, in schools and community centres, and would love to tour to regional areas in the future.
