Melbourne Bach Choir is a choir drawing on singers of all ages throughout Melbourne’s extensive choral community and aiming to give singers and audiences alike the opportunity to experience live choral music. The choir works to achieve fine choral performances and is committed to donating to community aid and charity organisations.

The Melbourne Bach Choir was formed in 2005 to give an Easter performance of J. S. Bach’s magnificent St. Matthew Passion in 2006, a work re-presented this year as part of MBC’s tenth anniversary celebrations.

This year has also seen the creation of a chamber choir, a new scholarship program, and the first performance of Elgar’s The Kingdom for many decades.
