Alice Bishop

Alice Bishop has worked as an actor, director, writer, comedian, producer, and designer for television, film and theatre.

She is resident director and co producer for Melbourne independent theatre companies – le poulet terrible and ITCH. Productions for LPT include: Roberto Zucco, a special event at the Alliance Française de Melbourne, The Doctor (in spite of himself), The Ruffian on the Stair and Nil, Cat & Buried, and for ITCH, works include Vieux Carré, a premier event for Midsummer Festival at 45 Downstairs, and Catalpa, including Victorian and interstate tours (Greenroom nomination for Best Director).

Writing credits include: The Barbie Doll Trilogy, produced by Napier St Theatre, Melbourne and Cereal, produced by The Melbourne Writer’s Theatre. She was a co-writer for the comedy group The Sheryls on The Sheryls (Melbourne Fringe), The Sheryls Save The World (MICF, and Edinburgh Fringe Festival) and The Sheryls Splatterfest, (MICF). She was co devisor with ITCH Productions on Bodybag and The Butterfly Catcher, and co created, devised and directed A Stranger in Town with Essential Theatre at 45 Downstairs.

She has also penned and produced several short films.
