Kim V. Goldsmith

I love telling stories through the senses – using sound, smell, touch, temperature, and moving images to explore our interactions with the natural world on an emotional as well as a physical level.

Having worked in sensory installation and digital media for the past decade my work is heavily influenced and informed by the issues and life in regional Australia, particularly the Western Plains of NSW where I live and work.

A journalist by training, an artist by nature and a story-teller by heritage, contemporary art forms are an exciting and challenging way of delving deeper into the very issues that are shaping our future on this planet.

Having exhibited work at Cementa 2015, Curve Ball (Vivid Sydney 2016) and Artlands Festival 2016, my sights are now set on taking up further opportunities at home and abroad – I want to explore my practice and principles immersed in other landscapes and exposed to other stories.
