Nathan Mewett and Curtis Taylor are a Directing partnership that have produced the short films Yulubidyi – Until The End and Jadai: The Broome Brawler.
Curtis is a filmmaker, screen artist, actor and a young Martu leader. Growing up in remote Martu desert communities and in the city, Curtis has both traditional Martu knowledge and a non-Aboriginal education.
Nathan is a Western Australian filmmaker who also grew up on Martu country in the Western Desert . He is a graduate of the Masters of Screen program at AFTRS in 2018 where his exegesis investigated his co-authorship practice of developing characters of Indigenous and disabled backgrounds.
Together their short films have played throughout Australia at Sydney Film Festival, Cinefest Oz, Melbourne International Film Festival, Brisbane International Film Festival, Flickerfest, St Kilda as well as many others and have garnered numerous awards.
Their short film Yulubidyi – Until The End is an Oscar Qualifying short that is currently nominated for an AACTA award.
