ACF Boost | matched funding for ACF first-timers

You + the Australian Cultural Fund: A great match

We’re offering a one-off matched funding initiative to first-time users of the Australian Cultural Fund (ACF) to give fundraising campaigns a boost.

If you’re new* to the ACF and have never used the platform to fundraise, you’re eligible for a $2,000 boost to put towards your project, thanks to Creative Partnerships Australia’s Plus1 program.

ACF Boost will match donations dollar for dollar, up to $2,000 per campaign. The initiative is open to new* ACF artists and arts organisations nationwide and across every artform.

Applications close Monday, 30 April 2018.

Why we’re offering this initiative

ACF Boost is designed to help artists secure new supporters, run a strong fundraising campaign and build a sustainable practice.

Creative Partnerships Australia, which manages the ACF, wants to help you fund your art and be the best fundraisers you can be.

Research** suggests that matched funding can help you engage new supporters and to re-engage lapsed supporters. ACF Boost will help you develop and execute great fundraising strategies and tactics to help you reach (and hopefully exceed) your target.

What’s more, not only will ACF Boost match donations dollar for dollar, all donations over $2 to the Australian Cultural Fund are tax deductible – two great messages you should share with your supporters during your fundraising efforts!

What you need to do

Step 1: Register your profile*** and create your campaign*** with the Australian Cultural Fund. Remember, you must be using the ACF for the first time. Find out more about registration process here, and read our Kit for ACF First-Timers.

If you’ve already registered as a new user of the ACF on or after 1 February 2018, you’re already eligible. Proceed to step 2!

***It takes a day or so for us to review each new profile, so please allow plenty of time ahead of the deadline to get this step done!
If your campaign is still in draft form by the closing date it will still be considered, so just get all your info uploaded in time and don’t worry if it’s not yet live.

Step 2: Read the ACF Boost guidelines, and the FAQs. We also encourage you to check out the ACF First-Timers Kit.

Step 3: Complete to the application form. You have until 11.59pm Monday, 30 April 2018 to apply.

Step 4: Start fundraising. If you’re successful for ACF Boost you’ll be notified by Monday, 7 May 2018, and you can share the great news with your supporters.

Step 5: When your campaign reaches $2,000 in donations, this will trigger matched funding of $2,000 towards your campaign.

Step 6: Rejoice! The payment of ACF Boost, and all the funds you’ve raised, will be distributed to you in the form of a grant when your campaign is finished, and you’ve invoiced and entered into an agreement with us.
